If daily activities are the core of the Winona experience, the special events make up some of the most enjoyable and unique memories while at camp! Senior has many special events which occur only in that unit because of the ages of the campers.

Campfires with Wyonegonic – Our sister camp is located six miles down Moose Pond. The senior units get together, about five times throughout the summer. The events include Wyo drama productions, campfires and an end of season Playday/ Dance.

Daily Events:

Totem Showings – everyone is on a team depending on which tent they are in, odds or evens. The object is to show the totem (which changes each summer) successfully gaining points for your team, while the other team attempts to catch the totem. Points accumulate throughout the summer.
Bat Showings – Can happen any day when you least expect it!

Weekly Events

Cookouts - on Wednesday and Saturday nights and Sunday morning.
Movie night – each Tuesday the entire camp gathers in the Cobb for a recent big screen movie, including soda and popcorn! Wyo also sends a few tents over each week to watch the movie… or socialize!
Tent time – on Sunday nights each tent does an evening program as a group.

Summer Events

Portland Sea Dogs Baseball – the AA affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. Once each session, a group of seniors travels to Portland to enjoy some minor league baseball.
Winona Night – the first all camp gathering and welcome each season.
Field Day – the first Sunday afternoon each season. Hosted by the CIT’s, all types of fun events, 40 yard dash, obstacle course, tug-o-war and more!
Mid-season cookout – the whole camp gathers for a special cookout to mark the end of the first half session.
Wyo/ Winona Road Race – run the 4.2 miles from the Wyo Farm house to the Winona Farm House
Red/ Gray week – at the end of each summer the teams participate in each activity trying to win points for their team in hope of winning the banner! This includes the awesome great relay, involving every camper and every activity.
Water Wars – A version of capture the flag played throughout camp using super soakers as weapons! This is one event which makes all the other units jealous.
Treasure Hunts – find and decipher clues and then run to the next location; trying to be the first team back to the Wiggy!

Senior Circus – hosted by the Senior Unit, a fun carnival of booths like a haunted house, pillow fight, shave the balloon and more, don’t forget parade followed by the great dinner before or the snow cones and Necco wafers.
Beach Day – Senior has a very busy final week of camp, so to break up the schedule the whole unit heads to the ocean for a day at the beach.
Banquet Night – a nice meal to finish the summer
Awards Night – the last night of camp when banners are announced, and the Bats are unveiled!
