It is important to bring the right items with you to camp. You have a limited amount of space to carry the items you need for your duration of stay at Winona.

Campers in Junior and Inty wear a camp outfit of a t-shirt and shorts (soccer, basketball or lacrosse style) five days of the week. On the other days and in Senior, normal summer clothes are worn. Campers should bring a warm sweater or fleece and a pair of pants for those cool mornings. A rain coat is very important, and is required on all trips (rain pants are also recommended). Water shoes of some type, like Aqua socks or Tevas, are also required around the units and on all canoe trips. Bring a sleeping bag for the cool evenings and for the trips. As campers progress through the units it is important to bring a sleeping bag which is appropriate for the type of trips you plan on participating.

Sports equipment can be brought from home, but Winona does provide equipment when needed for an activity. Tennis rackets, lacrosse gear, and baseball gloves are recommended to be brought from home if you already own them. There is no need to purchase this gear if you do not have it around home. We encourage campers to bring their musical instruments to camp.

A full list of required and recommended gear can be found by going to Buy Gear - click to Amerasport Home page - click packing list. Other notes about packing from camp are sent to each family in February prior to camp.
